Prison Ministry

Anyone who has a heart for evangelism and a desire to see the name of Jesus Christ lifted
up. Come. There are two locations where you can serve.

Locations of ministry opportunities:

Downtown Knox County Jail-(Women only)
400 W Main St
Knoxville, TN 37902

Knox County Detention Facility-(Men and Women)
5001 Maloneyville Rd
Knoxville, TN 37918

I go to the Knox County Detention Facility. We meet every Thursday from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
You are able to come once before it is required to complete orientation. I must say jail ministry
is not for everyone. In fact it can be quite intimidating but God has not given us the spirit of
fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. God equips all He calls to complete His purposes.
I have definitely seen the Lord grow my faith as a result of jail ministry. He has helped me
face the fear of man and empowered me to preach the gospel. There is no higher call as
believers than to carry out the “Great Commission.” No matter where you serve whether at
home, work, jail, church, or school let it be to the glory of God.

Please call David Bush at 865-281-9433 to be authorized to volunteer. He also can give you
dates and times for orientation. Orientations are held at the Knox County Detention Facility.

Please contact me if you have any questions.
