This is a few hours set aside for churches all over Knoxville to reach out to many in need with the love of Christ through tangible service. Most projects are taking place on Saturday morning May 12. Information is below. Sign up deadline is April 27. 

Saturday May 12

-Nursing Home (Peter and Bethany Hedger): love on the elderly with fellowship and worship

-Garden Project for The Next Door (Emily Gonzalez): serve women in this transitional house by planting vegetable gardens and beautifying the grounds

-Knox Area Rescue Mission (Sarah Stonier and Gary/Robin Duncan): serve breakfast and lead worship for 200 of Knoxville’s homeless

-Sarah Moore Greene Landscaping (Bill Cahill): serve our adopted urban school with much-needed grounds work

-Hope Resource Car Care (Dave Willis, Mark Noakes): Provide basic care car and maintenance to ladies with Hope Resource Center

-Apartment Cleaning for Elderly or Disabled (Trillia Newbell): clean for those in public housing who need to pass inspection to avoid eviction.

 

Other Dates

-Joni & Friends Sock Hop (Cris Steele): A night of dancing, fun, and caring for adults with disabilities. Ages 7 and up. It will take place on Fri, May 4.

-Halfway House dinner (Gary and Robin Duncan): serve dinner and fellowship with men in transitional housing. This project will take place on Sun, May 6.

-Hope Recourse Center luncheon for expecting moms (Zerita Brockman): host a luncheon for moms in need. This project takes place on Wed, May 9.
