August FX Recap

Hey Kids!

Our year-long series in Revelation continues to bless us greatly!  As we've walked through the "Revelation of Christ" and these letters to the seven churches, it's been one encouragement after another as Jesus tells us more about Himself, gives us clear warnings, and makes our hearts glad with astounding promises.

Thursday was no exception!  The True Doorkeeper built our faith by reminding us that though we are weak and our enemies are strong, He is keeping us.  We don't have to pretend that we are strong in ourselves.  We don't have to pretend that our enemies are weak.  Jesus knows the truth about our condition and still makes the amazing promise that He will preserve us and we will find ourselves like pillars in the end!

So let's come alongside one another and openly and honestly share our lives and struggles.  God really will help us help one another!  Here are some questions that we can wrestle through as we face our weaknesses and our enemies' strength, while trusting in the Lord to deliver us:

In what times do you find that it seems difficult to trust in the gospel?

What lies or false gospels confront you (at work, in your relationships, in your own thoughts)?

What false gospels at times look enticing to you?

When do you perceive that you have “strong” faith or “weak” faith?

When have you been tempted to "throw in the Christian towel"?  What helped you not to?

What do you find now that serves you best in those difficult times?
