VFC Upcoming: This Week(end)
First off, a rundown of soon to be here events:
- VFC Tonight - That's right, join us again for VFC at 7pm in AMB 210 on campus. Mike Plewniak continues our "Simply Jesus" series with the Resurrection. And of course great friends and free food.
- Movie Night - Tomorrow night (that's Friday) VFC is showing a movie on the big screen as we set up in the amphitheater next to the library. At 9 pm we will be showing Batman Begins! All are welcome and we'll have free drinks and popcorn. Bring a blanket to sit on and invite your friends!
- Church at CCK - Again this Sunday we will be giving rides to Cornerstone Church of Knoxville at 9:20am in most dorms. The meeting starts at 10am and we hope you can join us.
- Community Groups/Fuel Groups - We also want to take a second to remind you about Community Groups and Fuel Groups. Community Groups are our Bible study/discussion groups we hold in the dorms to help people get connected in their dorms. They are every Tuesday at 8pm. Check here for more info. Also, Fuel Groups are weekly book studies hosted by VFC interns. They typically meet on Wednesdays, but check here for all the info.
- Boomsday! - If you know anything about Knoxville, we hope you know about Boomsday! Since this weekend is Labor Day weekend, Knoxville hosts one of the largest fireworks shows ever! They blowup tons of stuff over the river on the Henley Street bridge and it is awesome. If you want to roll with us to it then come to the VFC house at 6:30pm this Sunday night. We'll hang for a little bit then go find a good spot to watch fireworks by the river. Call Nathan Simmons for more info.
