Wait in Faith
What are you waiting for this holiday season?
I’m not talking about what you want in your stocking this Christmas morning. I’m talking about the big stuff.
Maybe you’re waiting for healing?
Maybe you’re waiting to become pregnant? Maybe you’re waiting to be engaged?
Maybe you’re waiting for a relationship?
How are we called to wait? Especially this time of year when it’s extremely hard as we see “everyone else” post their family Christmas photos, or their engagement pictures, or their sweet moments with their partners this holiday season?
A few thoughts that have been on my mind lately:
Wait In Faith!
"So you, by the help of your God, return, hold fast to love and justice, and wait continually for your God."
- Hosea 12:6
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
- Isaiah 55:8-9
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
- Jeremiah 29:11
When God calls us to wait that is not a time for us to be bitter or jealous. It is a beautiful time for us to grow in faith! A time to get to know His character and His goodness.
If we don’t trust God. Then we really don’t know who He is! His plans are for your good and my good!
My heart goes out to everyone who is waiting this holiday season. I am waiting too and I fail so often to wait in faith. Thank goodness for the Cross!
We can grow stronger in faith as we wait in faith.
Wait in faith. Wait in praise. Wait with joy!
